Mr. Dalton received his law degree (Juris Doctor) from Notre Dame Law School in 1979 and has practiced law in the Fox Valley area since that date. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1974. He is a Certified Public Accountant having been associated with Arthur Andersen & Co. (1974 to 1976). He is a member of numerous professional associations including the Illinois State Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and Elgin Bar Association (President - 1987). Mr. Dalton is a past-chairman of the Probate Committee of the Kane County Bar Association and a current member of the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council. He is also a State of Illinois licensed real estate broker. Mr. Dalton is very involved in community affairs. He is currently a member of the Board of Lay Trustees of Marmion, a not-for-profit college preparatory school for boys in Aurora, Illinois, and serves on its Development Committee. He is a past-president of the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce and served on its board of directors from 1986 through 1992. He has also served on the board of directors of Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin and served as its vice-chairman (1993 to 1999). Mr. Dalton also served on the board of directors of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation. From 1982 to 1990, Mr. Dalton served as a member of the Elgin Planning Commission, and also served as its chairman (1988 to 1990). He has also served on a number of boards of directors for various local agencies, as well as coached a number of youth sports in the Elgin area. Mr. Dalton frequently speaks in the Fox Valley on the subjects of estate and gift planning, taxation, probate and trust administration, and business succession planning. |

Mr. Matejcak received his Juris Doctor from Hamline University. He received his Bachelor of Science from Purdue University. While attending law school, Mr. Matejcak was active with the Minnesota Justice Foundation's Law School Public Service Program. Through his involvement in this pro bono organization, he provided volunteer law clerk hours in the areas of Elder Law, Health Care Law, and Landlord/Tenant Law. To complement his law degree, he completed the Alternative Dispute Resolution Concentration from the Dispute Resolution Institute at Hamline University. In addition, he was a member of Moot Court, named to the Dean's List and earned a CALI Award for Excellence in Professional Responsibility. Mr. Matejcak is admitted to the Illinois Bar. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, as well as, the Kane County Bar Association. |

A native of western Illinois, Dawn graduated from Robert Morris College in 1982 and immediately began her career in the legal profession. Dawn has been associated with Attorney Raymond F. Dalton, Jr., since April 1988. Dawn works actively with clients in the area of residential and commercial real estate and also spends significant time in the areas of estate and trust administration matters. Prior to her employment with Attorney Dalton, Dawn worked in Davenport, Iowa, for patent, trademark and copyright attorneys, Henderson & Sturm (1982 -1985) and for the law firm of Bozeman, Neighbor, Patton & Noe, in Moline, Illinois (1985-1988), on estate planning, estate settlement, tax and insurance defense matters. Throughout her career, Dawn has continued to take advanced paralegal classes and continuing education courses to keep her skills and knowledge current. Dawn is a past officer of a non-profit, grass roots conservation organization dedicated to preserving the Kishwaukee River watershed. Her interest in conservation coincides with her love of gardening and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. Dawn is also a member of The Nature Conservancy, Rocky Mountain National Park Associates, Daughters of the American Revolution and various genealogical societies. |
